National Dyslexia Awareness Month 2020

Go Red are a global community of passionate individuals, companies, schools and organisations. During Dyslexia Awareness Month we will campaign to promote a greater understanding of dyslexia.

We’re on a mission. A mission to join the world of dyslexia with a united campaign. Will you join us?

Reclaiming RED

The dreaded red, which we’ve all seen throughout our education. The red marker used to highlight the mistakes with our work is all too familiar for dyslexics around the world. Dyslexia groups have chosen red in order to take back its meaning and globally promote dyslexia awareness in a fun and positive way.

Inspired by parent led groups working in Australia, Canada, India, UK, USA and beyond, We are excited and proud to help keep this important awareness initiative growing bigger every year around the globe.

OUR VISION IS A WORLD WHERE DYSLEXIA PEOPLE ARE UNDERSTOOD AND HAVE THE TOOLS TO SUCCEED

The story so far:

2019

We worked closely with our friends at Code Read, Mark it Read, The Dyslexia Association of Singapore and Maharashtra Dyslexia Association to spread the GO RED message. We rocked red tees, danced in front of buildings lit up in red and sparked incREDible conversions surrounding dyslexia (and other learning disabilities too!).

2020

The year for empowering dyslexics. This year #GoRedForDyslexia are committed to making an even GREATER impact for Dyslexia Awareness Month. We are encouraging you to Dear Dyslexic to help us continue our work.

PART OF THE SUCCEED WITH DYSLEXIA MOVEMENT

Go Red is part of the Succeed With Dyslexia movement to celebrate dyslexia at a global level. Succeed With Dyslexia collaborate on a number of campaigns with individuals and organisations to raise awareness of dyslexia and the power of literacy. These campaigns run throughout the year.

  • Dysgraphia, what is it?

    Dysgraphia, what is it?

Dysgraphia is a learning difficulty. When you go back to its Greek roots, it’s a combination of ‘dys’ meaning difficulty and ‘graph’ meaning to write – so it’s literally difficulty writing.

  • Dyspraxia, what is it?

    Dyspraxia, what is it?

Dyspraxia is a disorder of movement and coordination. In dyspraxia, the signals that go from the brain to the muscles are interrupted.
