I’m thrilled to announce that I have been nominated for Pro Bono Australia's 2019 Impact 25 Awards.

These awards were started in 2014 and each year they aim to shine a spotlight on incredible individuals making a positive impact in the community.

I have been nominated by their peers and now the public gets to vote for who they believe to be the most influential changemaker within the social sector.

Over the last year, we undertook some significant activities including:

  • providing peer support through our 1800 Helpline
  • talking with and helping government understand Dyslexia at a state and federal level
  • providing education to Australian Universities and workplaces
  • developing strong partnerships with various disability support organisations
  • speaking at various conferences and events for local, state and international organisations
  • sharing the stories of people with dyslexia
  • conducting groundbreaking research in partnership with Latrobe University.

These awards have been an important platform to promote awareness and advocacy for the causes that the winners represent. This is why I am reaching out to you all to ask for your vote as this will open more opportunities to promote awareness of Dyslexia and build advocacy and access to services. There is no way we can do this without your help and direct support by voting.

Please follow the link and cast your vote to show support for the Dear Dyslexic Foundation and help us continue our work to empower young people and adults with dyslexia to live healthier, happier more connected lives.

You will need to scroll right down to the end of the names listed. I’m in the second column and 5 lines up from the bottom of the list.
