Parliamentary inquiry into Access to TAFE for learners with disabilities

DDF was excited to be invited to the Victorian Government Parliamentary inquiry hearing in July to discuss access to TAFE for learners with disabilities. Our CEO Shae Marie Wissell, Chair of DDF Christine MacJouvelet and board director Dr Judith Hudson represented DDF with their submission and feedback from the inquiry are included in the Victorian Legislative Assembly Economy and Infrastructure Committee’s final report.

There are 44 recommendations,! that the Committee has put forward with DDF referenced 37 times. We look forward to these recommendations being implemented by TAFE organisations across Victoria in the near future. Further details on the report can be found below.

DDF would like to thank the Victorian Legislative Assembly Economy and Infrastructure Committee for the opportunity to discuss the issues and challenges faced by students with dyslexia and for the recognition of support needed for students with dyslexia so they can reach their full potential.
